MORE THAN ₹4,50,000/- REFUNDED TO DIFFERENT VICTIMS BY ASANSOL DURGAPUR POLICE CYBER TEAM.

More than ₹4,50,000/- refunded to different victims by Asansol Durgapur Police Cyber team.

1.Victim-I: Became a victim of unknown callers, sharing his banking information, after warning of disconnection of electricity. He received a refund of ₹2,00,000/- in Cyber Crime PS Case No - 19/24, Dated 23.02.2024, u/s - 419/420/406/120B IPC.

2.Victim II: He was duped in the name of fake WFH job offer and sharing her confidential banking information lost ₹43,000/-. Her entire lost money was refunded in c/w Durgapur Cyber Cell GDE No 124, Dated 27.08.2025.

3.Victim-III: Multiple debit transactions were witnessed by Victim III after losing his mobile phone. He received a refund of ₹50,000/- in c/w Durgapur Cyber Cell GDE No 19, Dated 04.02.2026.

4.Victim-IV:Received total refund of his lost ₹39,501/- to scammers sharing his credit card information on the pretext of preventing his credit card from getting blocked in ADPC, Durgapur Cyber Cell GDE No 94, Dated 19.04.2026.

5.Victim-V: Received full refund of his lost ₹43,000/- in c/w Cyber Crime PS GDE No.  203, Dated  09.06.2026, lost through multiple transactions while booking a therapy session through a fraudulent site.

6.Victim-VI: ₹75,000/- was refunded to Victim in c/w Cyber Crime PS GDE No. 337 Dated 17.08.2025 who fell a victim to scammers posing as investment advisors on WhatsApp.
