Today (16.06.2026) evening, a Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on combating the menace of narcotic drugs was organised by Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate. The programme was attended by the Commissioner of Police, ADPC, senior police officers, representatives of NGOs, de-addiction and rehabilitation centres, educational institutions, and members of the medical community.
An interactive session was held during which stakeholders shared their views and discussed collaborative measures to address substance abuse and drug trafficking.
The consultation highlighted the need for a coordinated and community-driven response, recognising that the fight against drugs cannot be won by law enforcement alone.
Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate remains firmly committed to working in partnership with all stakeholders to protect our youth and build a safer, healthier and drug-free society.
